Pattidana (Sharing of Merit)
ञिवार म्हणजे उञमे उदकं वट्टयथा निन्न पवत्ति |
एकमेव इत्तो दिन्नं पेतानं उपकप्पति ||१||
एकमेव इत्तो दिन्न पेतानं उपकप्पति ||२||
सब्बे पुरेन्तु चित्तसंकप्प छन्दो पन्नरस्स यथा ||३||
तंतोतंत निब्बाण सम्मति, इमाना ते समिज्झतु ||४||
उप्पज्जि निरुज्झन्ति तेसं वुपसमोसुखो |
भिक्खं संपरिक्खारं भिक्खुस्स भिक्ख्रुसंघस्स देमं ||५||
मराठी अनुवाद
"हे नातेवाईकांसाठी असू दे, ते सुखी होवोत, नातेवाईकांना शांती लाभो. सापेक्ष म्हणजे वटवृक्षाच्या मुळांमध्ये पाण्यासारखे."
"जशी नदी पूर्ण भरून समुद्रात जाते, त्याचप्रमाणे एका नातेवाईकाला दिलेली भेट सर्वांपर्यंत पोहोचू दे."
"मृतांना त्यांच्या मनोकामना लवकर पूर्ण होवोत, आणि त्यांची सर्व मने ल्युटच्या नोट्सप्रमाणे सुसंगत असतात."

"Let this be for the relatives, may they be happy, may the relatives be at peace. Relative means like water in the roots of the banyan tree."
"Just as a river flows into the ocean, filling it completely, in the same way, may the gift given to one relative reach all."
"May the departed quickly attain their wishes, and all their minds be in harmony, like the notes of a lute."
"Long life, health, wealth, and heavenly fortune, Nirvana for all - may these be swiftly realized by you."
"Impermanent indeed are all conditioned things, they arise and pass away; their calm is peace. For the Sangha, the Sangha community, I offer this gift."
